Hi! 

 

I am Maike Jansen, a 24 year old Dutch girl who is, among others, crazy about photography and in particular photographing sunsets and people.

​

 

In January 2017, I went to the U.S.A. (Madison, Wisconsin) to study Marketing for half a year and I thought it would be a waste if I would not capture this adventure with a good camera. So after many years of using my crappy camera on my phone and borrowing my dad's camera to take pictures, I decided to buy a professional camera myself at the end of 2016. During my time abroad I learned to appreciate all the beauty in this world even more. After coming back from the United States I (re)discovered some beautiful places in the Netherlands and Europe as well. I became so proud of my work that I wanted to store them somewhere else than in all those hidden folders on my computer. I decided I wanted to share my pictures and the beauty of this world with others. That's why I made this portfolio. I will continue photographing and adding my pictures to this website.
